　 Matsumura Sokon(1809 〜 1969) served for the King of Ryukyu, both the 18th king "Shoiku" and 19th King "Shotai". His Shurite's karate was passed in his student "Itosu Anko"(1831 〜 1915).Itosu Anko was a secretary for the Kingdom of Ryukyu and he was a karate instructor of Okinawa prefectural shihan school.
　Chibana Chosin(1885 〜 1969),was a student of Itosu. He was born in Torihori Shuri and he opened karate dojo at Shuri in taisho 7 year(1917). He organized "the karate study association " with his friend Funakoshi Gichin and Oshiro Chodo. Chibana named his style "Shorin Ryu". He also organized the "Okinawa Shorinryu Association", in 1948, and became the first president of the association, and the "Okinawa Karatedo Federation ". He was honored the prize of KUN 4th ZUIHOSYO from government of Japan.

Ryukyukan is passed on the Okinawa traditional Shurite Shorinryu karate kobudo and Fullcontact karate.
